"I saw this painting in a dream.  I was walking through an exhibition of my own work, most of which I recognized, some of which I couldn't see, and then there was this piece.  I hadn't painted it yet, but I recognized it as my own.  It was similar to another painting I had done before (Lights in the Fog), and seemed to answer questions I had when working on the first. I did my best to memorize this painting from the dream and then reproduced it after I woke up. "
